But Honestly.co hosts Honesty Hour 2.0: A Modern Social Event

SENTUL DEPOT, Kuala Lumpur - But Honestly.co bridged the gap between over 100 strangers during their friend-making social event —Honesty Hour 2.0 on 16 April.

Held for its second year at Tiffin at the Yard, Honesty Hour 2.0 was a social bonding event for strangers to become friends through a card game developed by But Honestly.co.

Attendees were seated in groups of 5 to have 2-hour long conversations with people they’ve never met before. The event was visibly busy and merry, filled with endless chatter. The event was also targeted toward young adults aged 18-28.

“The overall flow has been going quite well and the atmosphere is nice and welcoming,” said Ting Shi Qi, co-Founder of But Honestly.co when asked about the event thus far,

“I think everybody wants to be connected, find a friend and maybe even give themselves a shot at love.”

But Honestly is a card game where you have open and honest conversations through the card deck prompts in which the game was designed to enhance mental health literacy through these vulnerable conversations.

Shi Qi said the team intends to bring back the event for more niche groups like Christian dating, or dating for 40 and above.

Honesty Hour 2.0 received highly positive feedback from their attendees, many sharing that they would like to join a similar event again.

Belwin, 25, mentioned that the event went a lot better than he expected and was in a jolly mood post-event.

“I’d definitely attend more events like these but with extended time,” said Belwin, in which his new-found friends Eriq and Eli agreed. “We’ve exchanged our contacts to stay in touch!”, said Eriq.
