Taylor's University Lakeside Campus officially kicked off the third semester of the 2023 academic year in the last week of August. As some of our returning students bid farewell to campus life, we're also thrilled to welcome a fresh cohort of incoming students.

With the borders now open, it's evident during our orientation events that we have a diverse group of international students joining us.

According to the latest data from Taylor’s Campus Central, in this semester, the total number of students at Taylors Lakeside Campus has reached an impressive 16,000, with approximately 35% (or 5,600 students) coming from overseas. Unfortunately, due to privacy concerns, the Campus Central is unable to provide more detailed information about international students and their countries of origin.

Due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, this semester marks the first term where all students are required to return to campus for in-person classes, leading to a significant increase in student numbers compared to previous semesters.

Nevertheless, the beginning of the new semester also signifies the start of recruitment for various student clubs and societies. These groups have set up booths not only in the Grand Hall but also at various corners of the campus to introduce their activities for the semester.

Among them, Taylor’s Music Club's Signature Event: More Than Just Music was held on September 29th and 30th, 2023, and it was a grand event. At the start of the new semester, we also welcome Orientation Week for new students, aimed at helping them adapt to campus life, especially international students from different countries.

Additionally, the Student Council and the International Student Society will host the 'Around the World International & Cultural Fiesta' from October 9th to October 11th — culminating in a grand Gala Night on the final evening. This is an event you definitely should not miss; detailed information can be found in your student email.
