Fresh and Bustling: XOXO Coffee Opens at Syopz

Introducing a fresh and trendy new addition to Taylor's variety of eateries opened on 12 September 2022, XOXO Coffee.

Newly opened this month and already bustling with customers, the café serves a range of coffee, fusion dishes, as well as pastries for everyone. XOXO Coffee is also halal !

Perfectly accommodating to the high volume of students this semester, this café welcomes the campus’ returning students as well as its fresh undergraduates.

“I think the food is quite good, but not like 'wow'. I like the ambiance though. It’s very comfortable,” said Belle, a micro-influencer on Instagram who visited XOXO coffee on a café-hopping trip.

The core founders of XOXO are Olivia and Emanda, with the former being the mother and the latter being the daughter. Olivia has a deep passion for culinary while Emanda (Taylorian) has a talent for crafting delicious and eye-pleasing drinks.

The duo saw a gap in the market where university students like to look for good food and pleasant ambiance but are stumbled upon by frightening traffic conditions in KL that disheartened many students to take extra effort and go for convenient eateries around them instead.

By opening XOXO on campus, they provide students easy access to the café experience they desire and offer those not studying or teaching at Taylor’s and café enthusiasts a place to enjoy themselves while potentially getting a look at the campus.

Popular on 小红书 (xiǎo hóng shū), a Chinese social media and e-commerce platform, the café has gained traction from many of its followers and the media space while it rises the ranks as one of the hip café destinations in Klang Valley.

“I think the interior is beautiful and aesthetic. It’s different from other restaurants in Taylor’s,” said Jong Hui Wen, a second-year advertising student.
