On the evening of May 16, 2024, The Society of Performing Arts of Taylors University also known as SPART hosted an interactive welcoming party in Room D4.02. The purpose of the event was to cultivate a sense of community among new members through a range of enjoyable theatre-themed activities.

The evening kicked off with the traditional game "Mafia", where participants were grouped into teams of ten and assigned roles randomly, creating an atmosphere of suspenseful strategy and deduction. Players assumed the identities of mafia, detectives, doctors, and villagers, participating in a lively game that emphasized teamwork and communication.

After the initial excitement, the gathering shifted to the "Murder OST" icebreaker. During this activity, participants formed a circle, and a murder scenario was acted out in the center of a crowd which felt like the mosh pit of a concert, complete with sound effects and movement. Many members actively engaged in the scene, albeit with some questionable scenes showcasing their creativity and improvisational skills.

The intermission provided an opportunity for attendees to socialize, enjoy snacks, and engage in casual conversations, enabling them to forge new connections and reinforce community ties. The entire evening concluded with laughter and a shared experience that left a lasting impact on all those present.

As for the finale of the event, a scenario was given to the audience in which SPART's President Bianca is murdered and everyone has to scramble to find clues on how the crime happened. Audiences have to act out scenes that theorized her murder.
This welcoming event, organized by SPART, effectively introduced new members to the campus AND local theater community and set the stage for a year filled with creativity and collaboration.
