The main entrance to the Rainbow Bazaar.

A variety of flower stalls crowded the corridor, with balloons dancing here and there, pretty little candles and jewelry displayed on tables, snacks all around to be devoured, and a symphony of music filling the air.

Rainbow Bazaar was held during the convocation at Taylor's University on 24 September, while the stalls were displayed charmingly at Sypoz Mall from 8.30 AM – 5:30 PM.

Many flower and balloon stalls catered for the graduating students.

There were a variety of local goods, fun products, and services. There were many flower and balloon sellers as well! Anyone interested could get a gift for their graduating loved one and choose from the plethora of pop-up shops displayed.

Many of the florists were from Instagram shops. There were Unee - Mini myni mo, a soap flower florist, Haru.Florist, an online florist, and Eudaimonia Florist, another online florist based in Subang Jaya.

Sunflower crochet bouquets by Crochet Is My Hobby.

Crochet Is My Hobby, in particular, stood out from the rest. They are selling handmade crochet flowers! On a day-to-day basis, Crochet Is My Hobby knits other small items from coasters to keychains, dolls, and even wearable tops.

The CANs Pastry was another eye-catching stall. “Our cakes are not sweet, and we are Malaysia’s first cake in a can,” shared the stall owner.

Sold in a soda can, consumers can feast on the dessert upon opening the lid. They were also selling two series of flavours, including fruits and cheesecake.

Tay Wei Shen, a computer science major, shopping at Young & Slashie.

Young & Slashie is a shop that fashion lovers cannot miss! They are a vintage thrift shop with a range of retro fashion pieces from vests, Hawaiian shirts, to vintage blazers and slacks. They also have vintage cameras, stamps, and ties.

Tay Wei Shen, a customer said, “I like Young and Slashie because they’re selling pre-loved clothes which are good for the environment and because fast fashion is destroying the earth.”

Premium candle designs by Candleliin.

Another gem at the bazaar was Candleliin. They sold premium candle designs such as exquisite mooncake shapes, adorable birthday cakes, delicate flower bouquets, merry-go-rounds, and more. They were also available in different scents and gift boxes.

Other fun stalls sold ice cream, customizable perfume, and a DIY keychain painting corner. There was also a live singer and pianist performing.

Simple and enjoyable, the Rainbow Bazaar was a great addition to the graduation ceremony, where graduates, families, and friends can come and enjoy themselves afterward.
