Fans of Seventeen, the 13-member K-pop boy group, were clamoring to grab tickets for the K-pop group’s ongoing world tour when the announcement was made in May. Lucky fans in the Philippines and Indonesia will get another chance to see them again in December, and while they didn’t plan any stops in Malaysia, some Malaysian fans were lucky enough to catch them at their Singapore stop on 13 October.

The concert itself was held at the Singapore Indoor Stadium and the tickets ranged from $188 to $348. According to Eunice Low, who was one of Seventeen’s fans also known as a Carat who attended the concert, the tickets were sold out within 4 minutes.

“I have Singaporean friends, so they were ready for all 3 days of the presale to try and fight for the tickets. Many Singaporean Carats camped outside the ticketing venue, but nobody got anything because the tickets were sold out online in 4 minutes,” said Low. However, despite the unexpected rapid sale of tickets, the whole concert was still very well-organized, including the queues and the schedule.

“Everything was efficient and fast. We queued up from 4 pm until 5:45 pm and they started letting us in at 6 pm. After a few rounds of security checks, we were in the concert hall. The concert started exactly at 7:30 pm as scheduled,” Low said. She also pointed out that the staff was very strict but professional and very polite.

For fans of any artist, being able to see their idol live in the flesh is a dream come true, and it was the same for Low.

“My favorite part of the concert was seeing them perform and talk live. I have spent years watching them from my phone screen, so this was a surreal experience,” Low said. As a loyal fan of Seventeen since 2016, this concert was the first one she attended, and it did not disappoint. Even though there was some pushing in the standing pen, it was a very fun concert for her.

“A dream come true for a long-time fan,” she said about her overall experience.

Seventeen made their latest comeback in July before taking off for their world tour. So far, they have made an estimated $69mil of concert revenue with over 500,000 tickets sold worldwide.
