Students were spoilt for choice at the career fair that took place on 27 October. Renowned companies such as AIA, Mars Incorporated, Uniqlo, Daikin, and Hong Leong Bank were ready to educate students about their future careers as well as improve the participation experience by giving out fun freebies.
Aside from simply handing out flyers or giving a brief introduction, many of the companies gave the students opportunities to be more interactive such as by getting free gifts for filling out forms or handing in their resumes. International professional service brand PwC even held on-the-spot interviews for students who were interested in working with the company in the future.

"It was a good chance for students to engage with the firms and we also had time to talk to them and understand what our limitations were and how to improve, as well as what to prepare for our future internships," said final year student Benny Chan.
As one of the students who took part in PwC's on-the-spot interview, he got to experience firsthand what that would be like and got to hear feedback from the company itself during the career fair.
Another interesting thing that PwC advised students about is the importance of attitude over abilities. Rather than only focusing on hard skills, the company also talked about soft skills that would benefit students in their future careers.
"They're actually not really concerned about your abilities or your exact degree, what course you're doing, etc, because they really teach you that attitude is at the core of it," Chan said.
Despite only lasting for one day, the career fair provided an extremely valuable opportunity for students and was able to aid them through plenty of inquiries despite the short amount of time.
