Registration for the AstraZeneca vaccination from Oxford University in the United Kingdom had opened once again on 26 May.

Although many Malaysians were looking forward to the vaccination, they were left frustrated, angered and agitated after the website experienced some technical difficulties.
Applicants were all geared and ready at 12:00 PM to book their respective slots, but were later informed by the Covid-19 Immunisation Taskforce (CITF) that registration would be open at 12:15 PM instead.
However, when applicants attempted to access the site at the time, some were blocked from the site and some received a message showing there were too many requests to the site.
Although the website finally became accessible at about 12:20 PM, several other problems were encountered.

Several complaints were made by applicants, one of which is that they were not able to select slots as the section with the dates were not loading, even after they had clicked on the state button multiple times.
On the other hand, several applicants managed to access the slots but struggled nonetheless.
“Although I managed to gain access to the time slots, the green buttons I clicked on kept stating they were unavailable for booking,” said Jazreen Ravendran, a 21-year-old law student from Taylor’s University.
“It honestly became very taxing at one point.”
Several applicants also became aware that they did not receive messages after completing their registrations, leaving them in the dark about their appointments.
However, CITF has issued an apology regarding the matter and are looking into the matter.
“Once again we would like to apologise for the inconvenience faced and are always open to any feedback and criticism from all parties,” stated CITF.
“AstraZeneca is no longer an opt-in option, and will now be made available under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme,” said Khairy Jamaluddin, the Coordinating Minister of the programme.
