Taylor’s Society of Performing Arts (SPART) presented a lineup of six short plays written, directed, acted and curated entirely by the club’s own members.
About two hundred attended the plays over its three runs which included club members and non-members, parents and even some staff.
Held in the Experimental Theatre on Taylor’s, the event was well-received by audience members, with many praising certain actors’ performances, as well as the creativity exhibited within the scriptwriting of each play.

“The Reality and The Mix Up plays were my favorite. The actors did amazing and the story got me and my friends either crying or laughing the whole time,” says Ashok Vasu, a film student from Sunway University.
Several parents and relatives of actors also attended the show, with many stating that they were incredibly proud of all the talent that was displayed.
Although the event was received positively by many, the team behind it were glad that it was over when it ended, as it did take a significant portion of their time and energy to organize.

“Our previous event, Delusion Day, was only a month ago so since then it has sort of been a non-stop thing for us. Couple that with our studies, it was quite hectic for all of us,” says Abner Goh, the head of SPART’s organizing committee.
“It was still a really fun event, especially because I got to work with all these creative actors and writers. We basically formed a little tight-knit family over here with the cast and crew,” added Abner, who’s also set to direct an upcoming musical, A Serve and a Swing, set to premiere on 18 August.
