SUBANG JAYA, Selangor - Students need a place to stay where it's convenient and safe for them to go to and fro from campus, but they do need to factor in what they will get into especially for the price that they are paying. Located next to campus are two apartments named DK Senza and D’Latour, both are your typical mid range apartments with D’Latour being slightly higher end. Staying at DK Senza would cost you RM900-1000 monthly while D’Latour would cost you RM1200-1500 monthly; for the price that one might pay for living there you would expect efficient management and facilities but most residents in both apartments would say otherwise.
Firstly we have a resident of D’Latour that goes by the alias “M.A” who upon coming home from campus after a thunderstorm, discovered a “fountain” right outside of his room due to the building drainage system backfiring which caused the entire floor to be slightly flooded, “M.A” has provided a video of the incident.
On the topic of water issues, a resident of DK Senza going by the alias “C.T” who had to rush back home from a club activity due to a water cut at 11:00 P.M. by the DK Senza management which poses a major inconvenience.
Another resident of D’Latour that goes by the alias “N.L” has expressed frustrations of mold and leaks in her room which management hasn’t yet fixed and it poses a serious health concern.
An even more serious issue that has been going on at D’Latour is that there have been cases of partitioned “coffin room”-like accommodations that students are expected to live in, they tend to be claustrophobic, windowless rooms with only basic necessities such as a small desk, a mattress and Air Conditioning.

DK Senza, resident “N.C” provided photos of an elevator that appears to be malfunctioning, it is dangerous especially in a high population apartment like DK Senza.
The management of DK Senza and D’Latour have a responsibility towards its residents to ensure proper maintenance and timely resolution of their serious complaints, otherwise more serious issues may arise that will impact the health and safety of the residents. Especially students from Taylors Lakeside.
