TU placed top 1.1% most influential university worldwide

Since 2004, QS World University Rankings has been the parameter of a good quality university, with its ranking method that weighs the quality of the institution’s employees and academic reputation, among other categories.
In the recent announcement of the QS World University Rankings 2022, Taylor’s University managed to climb 47 spots in the ranks into #332, joining the top 1.1% educational institutions globally.
Adding to the long list of the university’s success, Taylor’s also holds the title for the number one private university in Malaysia and Southeast Asia, maintaining their position last year.

Taylor’s University’s commitment to providing adaptive curriculums was one of the things Prof Michael Driscoll, Taylor’s Vice Chancellor and President, said to be the driving force behind the university’s consecutive success.
“A year on into the COVID-19 pandemic, we have prioritised mobilising and support-learning continuity by introducing radical reforms to our approach to teaching and learning,” Prof Driscoll said in an article published on Taylor’s University official website.
Along with the achievements, Taylor’s University has joined the few educational institutions in Asia to receive QS 5 Stars rating for Online Learning, an attestment to its world class education, globally-renowned research, and state-of-the-art technology.
Celine Chew, a second-year Mass Communication student enrolled at Taylor's University due to its extensive and great facilities.
She said, “They have a lot of specialised labs and equipment for students to use. But what I like the most is how the university keeps the surroundings clean at all times.”
In light of these accomplishments, Prof Driscoll conveyed his gratitude to the entire Taylor’s Community, through Campus Central, for the understanding and willingness in adapting to new changes in these uncertain times.
