Kuala Lumpur, June 26 —- As G-Dragon prepares his Übermensch World Tour for a two-day spectacle in Kuala Lumpur in July, his eagerly awaited return to Malaysia was meant to be a celebration for his fans. However, the allocation has been marred by controversy due to claims about the concert's presale ticket.
Star Planet, the official organiser, has faced backlash when thousands of Malaysian fans were left without tickets, the initial euphoria swiftly turned to disappointment and rage, with the pre-sale process being sabotaged by overseas scalpers, bot meddling, and technical issues.

A large number of tickers started to surface on unauthorised resale platforms at significantly inflated rates after the pre-sale ended. Some tickets were marketed for much more than their initial worth! This has increased the likelihood that scalpers had used automated bots or maybe insider assistance to get a number of tickets. Fans have started to voice out and demand the organiser to be held accountable and transparent.
“I've been trying to secure my tickets for two days, I told myself that maybe it is because of my luck,” said Carol, a devoted G-Dragon fan. “But when I saw tons of inflation tickets being put on sale on other platforms, it was heartbreaking!” Carol also said that the whole situation was unfair and urged the companies and government to make a change.
Star Planet has released a statement on acknowledgement of ticket scalping operations. The organiser has claimed that the tickets that's been resold on unauthorised platforms at inflated rates would be cancelled. A limited resale will be started through official channels, providing fans another chance to buy tickets at their original pricing.
Despite this action, the credibility is still being questioned. In order to stop future occurrences, many fans are demanding stricter laws and procedures.
