Since the end of the pandemic, the tourism industry has rapidly recovered and has become an important force contributing to the global economic recovery and development. Therefore, many enterprises related to tourism, such as restaurants, airlines, and hotels, have also seized the opportunity and thrived.
According to the data released by the United Nations World Tourism Organization, the number of international tourists has been continuously increasing in recent years, and even many popular tourist countries and regions have seen their tourist numbers reach the levels before the pandemic. Therefore, relevant people pointed out that the recovery of the tourism industry not only drives the income of related enterprises but also provides many job opportunities, offering valuable work opportunities for many people, and thus promoting the improvement of the local economic level.
Tourism, as one of the largest industries worldwide, was severely affected during the pandemic. Industries such as hotels, airlines, and restaurants, which are closely related to tourism, also suffered significant blows. Even many enterprises faced a substantial increase in operating costs due to a lack of customer traffic. As a result, many people were forced to lose their jobs. With the end of the pandemic, related industries such as tourism have improved. These enterprises gradually balanced the relationship between operating costs and profit income, enabling them to enter a virtuous cycle and contribute to economic recovery.
To gain a deeper understanding of the changes brought about by the current tourism recovery, the reporter interviewed Sarah Lim, the manager of a hotel in Kuala Lumpur. She stated that the occupancy rate of the hotel's rooms has significantly increased compared to before the pandemic. This increase is particularly notable during weekends and public holidays. She also mentioned that "after the pandemic ended, the hotel's revenue continued to grow. The continuous increase in income was sufficient to hire more staff, thereby improving the hotel's service level and quality, and providing users with a better travel experience."
Under the favorable conditions of the tourism industry's recovery after the pandemic, many experts have pointed out that tourism will be an important component in boosting global economic development. However, while the tourism industry is booming, the environmental issues related to sustainable development cannot be ignored.
All countries, regions and enterprises should work together and introduce relevant policies for protecting tourist attractions, such as reducing the use of disposable plastic products and advocating public transportation. In this way, sustainable development of green ecology and economic growth can be achieved.

Nowadays, more and more tourists are packing their bags and setting off to various parts of the world. The development of tourism in different regions will continue to advance steadily, and the global economy will also be infused with continuous vitality, bringing new hopes to all countries, regions, and industries.
