Taylor’s University Hosts The GlamChic Show, Bringing Fashion and Lifestyle Together

From 7 to 9 July 2026, The GlamChic Show took place at Taylor’s University. This three-day campus event brought together over 50 retailers specialising in fashion, beauty, health and lifestyle, offering students the opportunity to shop, take part in interactive activities and relax whilst socialising with friends.

The event featured a variety of stalls selling items such as clothing, accessories, cosmetics, handmade goods, food and drink. In addition to shopping, students could take part in on-site games and lucky draws, transforming the event not only into a shopping fair but also into a leisure destination for students during their free time.

Student organiser Lim Wei Jian explained that The GlamChic Show forms part of their coursework and is an annual campus event organised by the students. As the student team is responsible for contacting vendors, arranging stalls and planning on-site activities, the event also provides the organising students with practical experience in event management.

“We’ve prepared activities, games and lucky draws. Students can also buy things they like,” said Lim Wei Jian.

Lim Wei Jian added that different vendors participated each day over the three-day event. This arrangement allowed students visiting at different times to discover new stalls and products, whilst also enhancing the event’s diversity.

Tan Jia Ying, a student attending the event, said she decided to visit with friends after seeing a related post on Xiaohongshu.

“There are lots of trendy items and cute stalls here, so I decided to come and have a look with my friends after class,” ” said Tan Jia Ying.

She explained that her favourite part was visiting the various stalls, as there were many brands and products she had never seen before. She also bought some accessories she had previously spotted on Xiaohongshu.

Tan Jia Ying felt that the range of vendors on site was quite extensive. In addition to fashion and accessories, the event also featured beauty products, handmade goods and food stalls, catering to the diverse interests of students. She also felt that the prices of many items were quite reasonable for students.

“Events like this allow students to take a break from their studies and help liven up the atmosphere on campus,” she said.

The GlamChic Show not only provides students with opportunities for shopping and socialising, but also makes campus life more vibrant. At the same time, the event offers the student organising team practical experience in planning, communicating and managing large-scale campus events.
