New Student Council (TUSC) members future pursuits

The famous student body (TUSC) which focuses on improving student integration and the quality of campus life for students welcomed a new board of directors.
On 5 September, the council known for promoting trust, unity, service, and change announced five newly elected representatives for the term of 2021/22.
Beginning 15 August, 11 candidates competed with one another for various positions based on their personal vision, mission, goals, and manifestos during the challenging election campaign.
Taylorian’s were given the opportunity to vote for their desired candidates through Campus Central Portal.
After a gripping week of Candi-Dates, speeches, and debates, Mikhall Mazlan, Nandhita Gyatrini Nair, Alia Balqis, Cheong May Xin and Liew Ying Wei were appointed as the new faces of TUSC.
The eager undergraduates are geared up to take on their roles and achieve great objectives.
President, Mikhall Mazlan said, “I hope to lead TUSC to be an approachable and collaborative student body that is always open to collaboration with other clubs, as well as provide a platform for student unity that includes Taylorians from all backgrounds, schools, societies, and student bodies.”
Vice President, Nandhita Gyatrini Nair added, “I would mainly like to utilize the platform that we have here in the student council to its maximum potential.
In other words, I want us to be able to ensure all students are always being heard, represented, and cared for.”
Assistant Director of Campus Relations, Claarence Christopher said, “I aim to create stronger bonds with other universities through hosting events with both local and foreign universities.”
This allows Taylor’s University to broaden its horizon by gaining reputation and recognition from foreign universities.”
Innovating new initiatives and events will be further pursued.
