In light of recent events such as uneven vaccinations and new strains of the virus emerging from random parts around the world, it’s very important to understand every person has an individual responsibility to travel safely. With countries around the world opening their borders and allowing tourists to re-enter, it’s imperative to know where the safest travel destinations are located.
Fortunately, the world health organization has categorized countries based on how safe they are, this rating is portrayed in colours, Green countries being the safest spots around the world. This is a list of the 3 safest travel destinations around the globe.
Australia
It’s no secret that Australia is one the most beautiful tourist destinations around the world, from the scorched red deserts to the reefs surrounded by a beautiful and clear blue ocean and their rainforests, filled with wildlife and a booming ecosystem.
After landing in Australia, head to the “Great Barrier Reef Marine Park”, housing more than 3000 coral reefs. This destination is a one of a kind spot that you will not find anywhere else in the world. From the clear blue ocean, we move to Australia’s vast red desert as we enter Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, marked as one of the most photographed wonders of the world. Finally, lying 81 KM west of Sydney, lies the Blue Mountains National Park. Marked as a UNESCO world heritage site its name lies within its blue eucalyptus trees that emanate a beautiful blue haze across the mountains.

Azerbaijan
The place where east meets west, when you visit Azerbaijan expect a mix in culture and language, this beautiful country lies on the coast of the Caspian Sea and houses some of the oldest heritage sites known to man. The country houses tropical beach resorts that span across its coastline, National parks that are packed with protected wildlife, volcanos and fire mountains.
Upon arrival, visit the largest lake in the entire world, also named the Caspian Sea this lake measures more than 370,000 KM squared. Although the water in the lake is salty, it contains a lot less saline than ocean or seawater, this makes it a perfect swimming destination, the beach also houses many activities such as boat rides, fishing and diving opportunities just to name a few.
Famed as one of the oldest human settlements, travel to Sheki city for a world of wonder. This city dates back almost 2500 years, known for its fine silks and other high-end textiles which the city still produces, many visitors use the opportunity to buy fine silks at a fine price.
Finally, and perhaps one of the most amazing optical illusions in the world comes Yanardag the fire mountain, to the human eye, this mountain looks like its emanating fire as flames escape its deep tunnels. Although this phenomenon is due to gas pockets buried deep within the mountain.

Bhutan
Laying on the Easter edge is a beautiful Buddhist kingdom named Bhutan, this country can only be described as a piece of heaven on earth. The country is quite small and the population of Bhutan lies around 750,000 people, with a high elevation level the country is filled with breathtaking sites.
The first place one must visit in Bhutan is the capital city, Thimphu is a city filled with luxury stay options but most of all is surrounded by extraordinary temples. The city will give you a clear insight into indigenous cultures and traditions.
Travelling from the capital move to what is perhaps the most beautiful destination on the entire planet. Referred to as the last Shangri LA, the city of Paro is a vibrant mix of nature, culture, food and scenery that will surely take your breath away.
Finally, located in the central part of the country, lies a small city referred to as Little Switzerland, the Jakar valley is known for its rugged trails and terrain this city has grown in fame amongst all thrill-seekers.
