The Taylor’s Maker’s club has come together to help students who are not able to not afford a computer or attend online school.

Early this year the club started testing and developing devices that could support children who aren’t able to adapt to online learning.

The entire goal is to be able to provide cost effective e-learning devices for kids of the B40 community.

B40 is an income classification for the bottom 40 percent of the nation. Many children from this group have a difficult time trying to adapt to the new way of learning.

So with this new product, the team has provided a more affordable alternative for children to be able to attend classes online.

After multiple tries they ended up with the new e-learning device called the DuckieDesk.

This device consists of the monitor, keyboard, mouse, and most importantly the computer.

In March, after endless campaign initiatives and organizing, they were ready to launch the product and delivered 50 DuckieDesks to the Belia community.

This April, with the help of many donations they were able to make 50 more DuckieDesks and now have expanded their goal to raise RM100,000 to extend their reach to many more children who need it.

The DuckieDesk will revolve around the use of Google, supporting Google classroom, Google suite, and especially Zoom.
