You might expect that Grand Hyatt’s recently opened ‘Le Petit Chef’ is just another one of the luxury hotel’s expensive restaurants, which it is, but this culinary experience has truly never been done before.
The dinner follows a 90-minute dining experience with themes and props to really immerse and make you feel like you’re traveling all around the world all in the comfort of your seat.
Once seated you are greeted by the world’s smallest chef right on top of your table.
He then begins to tell his story of traveling the silk road all throughout the world with the use of 3D mapping so you can watch the performance right on your table.
The course begins with French cuisine, where the little chef is from, then rolls into some Middle Eastern cuisine.
After each cuisine comes a small performance by the little chef so after you’re done with your hummus, you’re flown to India to try their cuisines, after which you fly to the Himalayas to cleanse your palette.
Before you know it you’re flying to China to try delicious Chinese cuisines, which then ends the journey when the desert is brought out which is a combination of all the new spices and ingredients that the little chef has discovered throughout his journey.
The creativity of this adventure is truly unique and has never been done before in Malaysia.
Everything was so immersed from the food, to the atmosphere, and even the hostess.
Pricing starts at RM199 for children, RM399 for the regular journey, and a whopping RM599 for the expedition!
